Auld Reekie Rollergirls was the first Womens Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) member in Scotland. Sasha de Buyl-Pisco is a jammer and a captain of their All Stars travel team. She loves cats, books and roller derby. Read her interview here:

How long have you played?

I think it will be five years this August.

What position you play?

I mostly jam these days.

Have you had injuries/ troubles with your body?

I always fall on my left butt cheek. I get dead legs a lot and sore hips because I am sort of bony.

Last year, I tore the cartilage in my left knee and had knee surgery to fix it.

What are your future plans?

I guess my goal is to play for as long as it makes me happy and to do the best I can for my team.

What is the best thing in roller derby?

Learning new stuff, feeling like you’ve done a good job for your team.
